Chorus: |
|
My old cassette deck drives me nuts; I hate that damn device.
It likes to chew on a tape that’s new before I’ve heard it twice.
The capstan is the part that always munches on my tape:
It winds it tight, then it takes a bite before it can escape.
(Chorus)
The worst part is to clean the thing; by God, I hate that job!
The makers said I should wipe the head with an alcoholic swab.
They recommend I clean it once for each ten hours of play.
A monthly chore if you’re not hard-core, but for me that’s twice a day!
(Chorus)
A tape won’t let me pick out just the songs that I like best.
I have to hunt for the ones I want, and skim through all the rest.
If it were all on compact disc, that surely would be fine:
I’d just ignore songs I don’t care for, and I’d listen twice to mine.
