Sitting on a curb, strumming my guitar,
I glance at the street, and there, on my car,
I see a shape splatter down from the sky.
Of all the rotten things!
A rat with wings!
Chorus: |
Sky vermin, banking as you swerve. Sky vermin, you’ve got lots of nerve! Soaring way up high, Unburden as you fly. Sky vermin! |
Landing in the street, pecking at a crumb.
The creature looks up. It seems awfully dumb.
It hops in place, as though foraging for more.
Its thorough searching done,
It grabs the same one.
(And I think...)
(Chorus)
Slowly I get up, feeling slightly ill.
I wipe off my car, thoughts fit to kill.
I shake my fist as the parasite departs.
Its feathered kind will be
My foulest enemy.
(Chorus)
