My home world’s full of nutty kids 
Who don’t know right from wrong. 
Resenting the authority 
I held there for so long. 
They whined about their freedom 
When I made their vices crimes. 
Then they used their drugs in alleys, 
Though I told them many times:

We must not let our citizens 
Lose children, jobs, and wives 
By yielding to the tempting call 
To add spice to their lives. 
So search the eyes of workers 
For the smallest mote of blue. 
And if your workers grumble, 
Tell them just what I told you:

These kids oppose my rule, 
And claim my Baron’s stealing funds, 
And dream that he is cruel. 
I don’t believe their stories, 
But supposing they are true, 
I was never told about it, 
So just what was I to do?

The plans I have in store. 
They’re all confused, and think this path 
Will lead us into war. 
Why can’t they see the wisdom
