I kiss your eye, while aiming for your lips.
You always move your head too soon, and my mouth slips.
And in the rented room, the timeless dance begins
Right into furniture, on which I bang my shins.
I bite your nose. At least I’m getting warm.
The springs complain; I’m crushed beneath your form.
I’m like a butterfly that’s pinned beneath your thumb.
I squirm to free myself, before my arm goes numb.
Sandpaper chin,
Rough on the skin,
Rests where it should
Never have been.
Sandpaper cheek,
Equally smarts,
Brushing against
Sensitive parts.
I find your mouth. Excitement starts to grow.
My pulse begins to race and yours to slow.
Your dance is out of step; you’ve trampled on my need.
You always finish first, each time you try to lead!
I cup your face, to make sure you hold still.
If you won’t finish what we started, then I will.
