Mutant man squeezes through a vent,
Tracking his fourth victim by his scent.
As he flees down a narrow hole,
Eating all their livers is his goal.
Agents come, following a file.
Turned away by stuff that smells like bile.
Though the judge orders his release,
Mulder knows the man’s a mutant beast.

Rental cars often not returned.
Laptops lost when hotel rooms were burned.
Dry-cleaned suits, soiled in a lair.
Travel to Tunguska at full fare.

Mr. X takes the agent in.
Tells him the invasion will begin.
Secret plans, ugly, dark, and deep.
Mulder’s mother kills herself to keep.
Mangled forms move in every tank.
Do we have conspirators to thank?
Infants jarred, pickled, dried or fresh.
Alien and human have been meshed.

Psychopath murdered one more girl.

Then again, that might have been a clone.
Reproduced, whether part or whole.
Killed to fill some governmental goal.
What's the truth? Is it time to grieve?
