The hundreds of places that I’ve been sleeping.
I dreamed about a place in the middle of nowhere
With a big white house and a cherry tree

I saw a little circle of 13 stars,
I said here we are, but what’s that weeping?
Then the big white house staff looked my way
And said "When you win this will we all be free?"

And the tree had some trouble in the early years,
But we let it grow as a compromise.
But I cut it down, and I shouldn’t have done that,
But I still kept the house for four more years.
So I settled in a place in the middle of nowhere

Then I gave it up to another white guy,
But now they gotta name it after me.
