(Bob: There are no chords since Meg sings this a capella.  Note spelling; there’s one  p  rather than two  p s.)

Here in your apartment house, with neighbors all around,
Your mind is filled with thoughts of them as you endure each sound.
Like why they came to live here, and where you wish they’d go,
And all their dreary problems, which you will come to know.

Settle down and try to read, and just ignore the noise,
While children wreak destruction on their latest set of toys,
And grownups probe the mysteries of life, from  A  to  Z :
From what they ate this morning, to what’s good on T.V.
